Sound quality is one of the GZDSP 6-10SQ’s greatest strengths, achieved through a well-thought-out electronic architecture and the use of signal-friendly technology: 28-bit Analog Devices Sigma ADAU1452 DSP chips and high-quality OPA1678 operational amplifiers. Achieving a signal-to-noise ratio appropriate for a hi-end system is another of its greatest achievements. To achieve this, it maintains a not-too-high output voltage (4V) but with approximately 115dB SNR, obtained through the use of a differentially routed DAC from Asahi Kasei. The GZDSP 6-10SQ’s include an advanced PC and mobile control software and the addition of automatic power-up and 4-ohm phantom power on the high-frequency inputs to prevent the original system’s protection failure if the OEM speaker load is not detected. Including Bluetooth streaming, it delivers impressive performance and value for money.
